Richard
Rene has been writing for over 20 years. He began by writing poetry, crafting each line for hours at a time. In 1994, he began writing prose, and a number of his short stories were published in Canadian literary journals such as UBC’s Prism International and Fiddlehead, out of the University of New Brunswick. In 2001, he completed his first novel, which was published in 2007 as The Nightmare Tree.
Richard branched into commercial writing in 2007 with ads and direct mailers that he crafted as carefully as poems (see samples of his work). He enjoys working from home, which allows him to freedom to spend more time with his wife Jaime and his three children.
