What does freelance writing cost? It entirely depends on the project—every writing task is different, requiring varying levels of research and creative energy. Here is what I can tell you:
I work by the project, based on an industry standard hourly rate of $75. Here are some sample prices (to be used as guidelines only, not firm quotes).

Other Terms and Conditions
· All fees quoted include two client meetings and two rounds of revision. Additional meetings and revisions will be charged at my hourly rate.
· 1/3 up-front deposit required from new clients and for jobs over $2000.
· Additional “rush fees” of at least 25% of total project cost for jobs with deadlines of 48 hours or less, and at least 50% for jobs assigned on Thursday/Friday and due on Monday/Tuesday.
· If the project is cancelled for any reason after completion of the copywriting, I am entitled to full payment of the agreed-upon fee.
· If the project is cancelled during the copywriting stage, I am entitled to full payment of all hours invested up to that point.
Included in my prices: a good attitude, a willingness to listen and contribute above and beyond the mere writing of your copy.
